Gonzales-Day’s research on racially motivated violence of the past several decades led him to a deeper exploration of more than 150 years of records and photography documenting lynching in the U.S. His work is a presentation of both historical occurrences and contemporary events, dramatically exposing the unchanging reality of racialized violence in America.
The exhibit, which runs through April 16, 2017, showcases collection of works from the Erased Lynching, Searching for California’s Hang Tree, and Run Up series.听
