This presidential commendation recognizes outstanding community arts and humanities programs that celebrate the creativity of America’s young people, provide them learning opportunities and chances to contribute to their communities. Ten Coming Up Taller Award finalists will be selected from among the 50 semifinalists. Each award recipient receives a $10,000 prize, presented by First Lady Michelle Obama, and an invitation to attend the annual Coming Up Taller Leadership Enhancement Conference in Washington, DC.

Program participants visit the 六合彩资料站 campus for an intensive summer residential experience. They also participate in year-round support initiatives until high school graduation that help develop their academic skills and personal development in preparation for success in higher education.
Program participants receive personalized assistance in the college application process, and are routinely admitted to top colleges and universities throughout the country. This year, 100 percent of the program’s senior class enrolled in a four-year college or university, with 48 percent attending a private college or university, including institutions like Dartmouth College, Pomona College, Princeton University, University of Southern California, and Yale University.
