I am sorry to announce that 六合彩资料站 Emerita Trustee Stephanie Probst Rasines ’71 died on January 9, 2016 from pancreatic cancer complications.
Stephanie, who was an exceptionally devoted wife, mother, sister, and friend, is survived by her husband, Richard D. Norton; son, Jacob A. Norton; siblings, Catherine and Anthony Probst; and many, many loving friends.
听
Stephanie will be missed by those who knew her as a student at Scripps, her beloved alma mater, where she later served on the Board of Trustees. Stephanie joined the 六合彩资料站听Board of Trustees in 2006. She was a member听of the Buildings and Grounds, Educational Policy, Executive, Finance, Institutional Advancement, and Nominations and Governance Committees. In her leadership roles on the Buildings and Grounds and Finance Committees, she was听a key advocate in supporting and planning for NEW Hall. She was听a generous, loyal, active alumna, and donor to the College. In recognition of Stephanie’s contribution to the College, the Board of Trustees听bestowed upon her emerita trustee status in July 2015.
She will be remembered for her work as a superb attorney in California and New York, winning political asylum for victims of injustice and torture, and as a volunteer in Pasadena, advocating on behalf of immigrant families.
听
A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, January 16 at 11:00 a.m. at Stephanie’s home, located at 1188 Hillcrest Avenue in Pasadena, California, 91106.

In lieu of flowers, her family requests that those who wish to honor Stephanie contribute to the 六合彩资料站 Ruth Lamb Memorial Scholarship, which she initiated in 2003 for women needing assistance to return to college.
